Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Piggin Arkful, a distinctive Dutch barge–style narrowboat offering cosy and characterful living on a secure residential mooring. Built by Dave Thomas with 20/10/6 mm steel, she combines the elegant lines of a barge with the practicality of a narrowboat — and the rare benefit of a proper wheelhouse.

🏠 Accommodation & Layout

Piggin Arkful is designed to provide practical comfort while retaining a charming, traditional feel throughout.

-Wheelhouse: A standout feature providing sheltered navigation in all weather. It also doubles as a useful porch area — ideal for coats, boots, and everyday storage. A small deck area adjoins the wheelhouse, complete with a bespoke BBQ, offering a pleasant outdoor space for summer evenings.

-Galley: Compact but well-equipped, featuring a gas hob, oven, and grill, together with ample work surface and storage.

-Saloon: A bright and comfortable living area with multiple windows for excellent natural light and ventilation, and a solid-fuel stove on a raised tiled plinth providing warmth and charm.

-Bathroom: Fitted with a hip bath, wall-mounted shower, hand basin, and cassette toilet.

-Bedroom: A cosy double cabin with a fixed berth and good built-in storage.

Heating is provided by a diesel-fired Eberspacher central heating system, ensuring comfort throughout the year.
